20 December 2025 – Mogadishu – Somalia
I had the great honor of attending the 82nd anniversary celebration of the Somali Police Force, held in Mogadishu. The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama, Police Commander Major General Asad Abdilaahi Osman, ministers, members of parliament, and senior officials from the security and administrative sectors.
This gathering was an important opportunity to strengthen collaboration between the community and the police, and to discuss the role of youth, security, and the development of police institutions. I also met with senior officials to discuss programs supporting both the police and the wider community.
The ceremony showcased the continuous dedication of the Somali Police Force in maintaining security and stability across the country. I encouraged youth and community members to support the forces, participate actively in public safety initiatives, and contribute to national development.
Impact:
My participation helped to reinforce community-police cooperation, while also inspiring youth engagement and public support for security and development initiatives throughout Somalia.
